Greetings from Gujarat
It gives us immense pleasure and pride to welcome you to LASACON 2026, the annual international conference of the Laboratory Animal Scientists’ Association (LASA), India, being hosted in Gujarat for the first time.
Accuprec Research Labs Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad, and LASA India are jointly organising LASACON 2026, to be held from 9–11 December 2026, with a dedicated workshop on 9 December followed by the scientific conference on 10 and 11 December. We have also planned a post-event one-day trip to the world’s tallest Statue of Unity on 12 December 2026.
LASACON 2026 is envisioned as a vibrant platform for scientific exchange, knowledge sharing, collaboration and professional development. The conference will bring together laboratory animal scientists, researchers, veterinarians, academicians, students, industry professionals and experts from diverse disciplines to share their research, experiences, innovations and perspectives.
As Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to transform our day-to-day lives, understanding its impact and potential in scientific research has become increasingly important. Keeping this in view, the theme of LASACON 2026 is “Use of AI & Advanced Technologies in Animal Toxicology, Research, Ethics & Regulatory Compliance for Viksit Bharat.”
Hosting LASACON in Gujarat is a moment of great significance for us. We look forward to welcoming you to a state known for its vibrant academic, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare and research ecosystem. Four days, four different things
A pre-conference workshop on 9 December, two conference days on the 10th and 11th, and an optional day tour to the Statue of Unity on the 12th.

Oral, poster and start-up presentations with invited talks, closing with the Gala Dinner in the evening.

The second conference day at the AMA complex. The session programme is with the Scientific Committee.

Statue of Unity day tour
An optional trip to Kevadia on the Narmada, leaving from Iscon Cross Road by air-conditioned bus. Booked separately.
After the conference
Stand beside the tallest statue in the world
The day after the conference, come with us to Kevadia, on the Narmada in Gujarat. This is where the Statue of Unity stands. At 182 metres, it is the tallest statue in the world.
It is a tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. He brought the princely states together into one nation. Gujarat and India can both be proud of this place.
The tour is optional. It is a day trip by air-conditioned bus from Iscon Cross Road. Seats are limited, so we suggest you register in advance.

The conference is hosted at the AMA complex in Vastrapur — about 15 km from the airport and 10 km from Kalupur railway station, with Gujarat University the nearest metro. Hall allocation and the campus map will be published closer to the date.
